Festival Rules

Article 1 - OBJECTIVE OF THE FESTIVAL
FESTIPHOTO DE FATIMA is a festival that promotes the talent of young photography fans in Central Africa. Its aim is to accompany them in their creativity. Its aim is to present their achievements to the general public and offer them opportunities for professional promotion.

Article 2 - FESTIVAL THEME
The theme of this first edition is: "Central Africa: Human and Environmental Wonders".
Through this theme, the festival allows photographers to describe, according to their artistic ability, any human and environmental wonder they appreciate in the Central African Republic.

Article 3 - PRIZES AND AWARDS
The prizes and awards of the FESTIPHOTO DE FATIMA will be given in the form of trophies, a certificate and cash amounts according to the prize. These prizes are as follows:
The grand prize "Sabango" (250,000 FCFA).
This prize rewards the photo that is characterized by its originality and the best professional and artistic techniques related to the theme of the edition which is "Central Africa: human and environmental wonders".
1st Prize for the Natural Environment (150,000 CFAF)
This prize rewards the photo that is characterized by its originality around the wonders of the natural environment of Central Africa.
1st Prize for the Social Environment (150,000 CFAF)
This prize rewards the first photograph that is characterized by its originality around the wonders of Central African society.
2nd Prize for the Natural Environment (125,000 FCFA)
This prize rewards the second photograph that is characterized by its originality around the wonders of the natural environment of Central Africa.
2nd Prize for the Social Environment (125,000 FCFA)
This prize rewards the second photo that is characterized by its originality around the wonders of Central African society.
3rd Prize for the Natural Environment (100,000 FCFA)
This prize rewards the third photograph that is characterized by its originality around the wonders of the natural environment in Central Africa.
3rd Prize for the Social Environment (100,000 FCFA)
This prize rewards the third photograph that is characterized by its originality around the wonders of Central African society.

Article 4 - CRITERIA AND TIME LIMITS
The festival is open to any person between 12 and 35 years of age (at the time of application) with residence in Central African Republic. There is no fee to participate in FESTIPHOTO DE FATIMA. Each participant can only participate in the competition once per edition.
The members of the jury and the organizing committee of the FESTIPHOTO DE FATIMA are excluded from participation. The participant accepts to be the author of any photograph presented to the organizing committee of FESTIPHOTO DE FATIMA, otherwise the Festival cannot be held responsible. Participants must also authorize the festival team to use their photographs within the framework of the exhibitions and to make the necessary arrangements for the festival's communications. A pre-selection committee will choose the photos with the best qualities which will be communicated to the festival's jury. Only the participants whose photos have been selected will participate in the FESTIPHOTO DE FATIMA.

Submission of the application implies the acceptance of these rules. Photos of a sexual nature or those glorifying incivility, violence, discrimination and intolerance will not be selected. Parental permission is required for participants under the age of 18. The parental permission form can be downloaded from the festival website. Parents must fill it out, report it and then scan (or film) it to be sent electronically at the time of application. Applications for the competition can be made on the website

The following items are essential when applying online:
1. Maximum of 2 photos related to the festival theme "Central African Republic: Human and Environmental Wonders". Please give each photo a title.
2. Attach digital version of identity card or any document certifying age and nationality.
3. Attach a photo of the participant's identity.

Registration for the FATIMA FESTIVAL must be done from August 15, 2020 to September 3, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. local time in Bangui (RCA).
GIVEN THE DIFFICULTIES OF INTERNET CONNECTION IN MANY AREAS, DEADLINE FOR PARTICIPATION HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO THE 6TH SEPTEMBER AT 18:00 BANGUI TIME

Article 6 - THE JURY OF THE FESTIVAL.
The jury of FESTIPHOTO DE FATIMA is composed of experts in visual arts, international / national photographers, painters and sculptors. Any decision of the jury through the festival prizes is final.

Article 7 - ENTRY INTO FORCE.
The provisions of the present regulations come into force from the date of their publication on the official website of the festival.

In accordance with current legislation, you are informed that the personal data you provide will be included in a file owned by the Responsible and whose purpose is the appropriate management of the participation of applicants in the FestiPhoto de Fatima SEP 2020. Likewise, we inform you that we do not share your data with third parties, unless we are obliged to do so by law or if the courts or tribunals request us to do so. Without prejudice to the foregoing, you may at any time revoke, where appropriate, the consent given and exercise your rights of access, rectification, deletion, opposition, limitation and portability of your personal data, by sending a letter to the above parish address or by sending an e-mail to contacter@ndfbanguifilmcentre.com under the conditions established by the legislation.
